Tung Meng, a well-known opera artiste in Guangzhou, was trained under several well-known opera teachers. He has been with the 'Foshan' opera troupes and performed leading roles in numerous operas. He has performed in the United States as well as in Asian countries. At present he is the artistic director in his own opera center, Ming Xing Opera Center, which conducts courses in opera-song singing, opera movements and opera make-up. With his 20 years of experience, Tung Meng hopes to promote chinese operas in Singapore and to nurture future opera artistes.
